Skillful project manager with a graduate degree and enthusiasm for organizing and leading the work of teams coming from various walks of life. With 18 years of experience in the field, Amanda has successfully led international projects and planned and developed proposals for EU programs such as Tacis CBC, URBACT, INTERREG III, IV, ESF, ERDF, LIFE+, H2020-MSCA-COFUND, Erasmus+, and EEZ-NFI. She is well-versed in organizing conferences, seminars, and evaluating project applications, as well as developing programs for project proposal submission. Amanda's passion for organizing and leading can be traced back to her pre-professional days when she organized public events at high school and choreographed dances for children and classmates. She has been on an organizational path ever since. Currently serving as a project manager and senior expert in the Latvian Council of Science, Amanda is involved in monitoring and controlling the progress of research/project implementers under the activity “Post-doctoral Research Aid.” Her work covers various smart specialization areas such as knowledge-intensive bioeconomy, biomedicine, medical technologies, bio pharmacy, biotechnologies, smart energy, and more. Amanda strongly believes in making a positive difference in the world and considers effective communication, especially the skill of listening, as a core value in all levels of management.
